好像是一种reestablishment….*siaofeng 在吗? has it got to do with inner child?
再来，拉气捧气，贯气导引，愣神、觉知、灵明、留白等词汇，不断轻敲耳鼓… … 然而，道不远人，听懂道理，依然走神，未能与道共存，未能放开我执。
20-26 June Qigong retreat at Titi Eco Organic Farm Resort. Back to basic, nature for company, flowers for breakfast, qigong lessons & practise for mind and body. Wonderful experience, immense benefits.
Titi’s environment and concept is good for recharging the body and mind. Li Lao Shi’s detailed teaching of Peng Qi has brought my understanding and practice of Zhi Neng Qigong to another level.

Ng Siew Seng (黄修盛)：
Practicing of Zhineng Qigong has improved my overall well beings and benefited my family.
Recently, my son was coughing and feeling lethargic. He took the Chinese medicine as prescribed by the physician.
Trying to get a good sleep was his greatest challenge, especially at night, due to consistent cough.
Through the practice of Zhineng Qigong, I have learnt from teacher Li Hong Shi that in order for our body’s energy to be in harmony with surrounding energy, one has to be in a relaxing state.
As he was feeling irritated and restless due to the cough, I spent a few minutes to help him relax by massaging his head and back. Thereafter, I extended my hands with palms facing him to beam the energy.
During the process , through awareness (体察), I was able to experience the warm energy surrounding us.
Within minutes he was sound asleep. He was able to sleep through the night without any cough or disturbance.
I did it on him for two consecutive nights. His immune system has improved and recovered on the third day.
My Affinity with Zhineng Qigong – Mariani
After many years, my search to heal my body of chronic fatigue and pain has come to a fruitful end.
I recalled my dark years – depressed and tired of living. I had problem getting out of bed, everyday I dragged myself up, to do my daily chores and to go to work. Western doctors gave me medication to supress my pain, bags of Ponstan and antacid pills are my tidbits. In 1999 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. According to doctors, there is no cure, they said that I have to learn to live with the debilitating pain for the rest of my life. I was so depressed, I threw away all the medication, as there is no cure.
I went to traditional Chinese doctors, for massage to reduce my physical pain, but my emotional agony was locked into my psychic system.
In 2005 at the age of 50, I went to study Remedial Massage to understand human body. Human Anatomy and Physiology open me into my world. I also took up TCM sports Massage to enhance my understanding. Through sheer coincidence, my classmate started his massage clinic and invited me to join him. In 2006, both green in the industry, we started and six months down the road, both my arms were tightened and fingers were swollen due to repetitive strain injury. I told myself to quit, but my inner voice told me that there must be some method that can help me recover naturally.
My search for taichi and qigong began. We tried Yang style Taichi, Hunyuan Taichi then Zhineng Qigong. I practised Zhineng Qigong for about one year on and off, there was improvement in my health and strength. But I was not so consistent. In May 2008 I had a road accident, was badly bruised on my right knee and hip. It was on the eve of a trip to Xiamen to practise Zhineng Qigong, Peng Qi Guan Ding (捧气灌顶 – Module 1), I went ahead and joined the trip. I managed to perform all the postures of Peng Qi Guan Ding. I went back to work immediately after the trip. Back then Zhineng Qigong was just a physical exercise to help me to lubricate my joints, I was not so serious about it.
In 2009, two clients (a cancer and a stroke recoveree) recommended me to a TCM doctor in Queenstown, they said he also teaches Zhineng Qigong. I went there for treatment for my knee and physical pain. In 2011, I joined the practice of Zhineng Qigong in Queenstown Stadium, as the teachers were very dedicated and really serious in their impartation of knowledge. In June 2011, I went to a retreat conducted by a China teacher, Li Hong Shi (李宏诗), he opened a different dimension, I felt the shift of perception, I was more sensitive to the external and internal qi as I practised the qigong in a slow meditative way, with eyes closed and focus. I have never felt so light and effortless. I could feel the opening and closing inside my body and also felt that I expanded in size when the Qi field is forming. I felt “Tian Di Ren He Yi” (天地人合一), my head up in the sky, feet deep into the earth and body amongst the thick cloud, I could not see my hands and feet. My movements were like fluttering softly in fog.
After each session, my body is so energised and felt my palms heavy with qi, I often have to release by giving massages or tapping to some participants whom I felt needed a boost.
I believed it is fate. In February 2012, I encountered another road accident, this time I was knocked unconscious. I was woken up by the other party, I was crouched lying on my right side. I could not move. “An Jing An Jing” (安静安静) rang in my mind, Li Laoshi always said “安静，体察” (Be quiet, Be aware) I realised that I was very calm and alert. I told the other party not to move me and wait for the ambulance.
The ambulance took me to the hospital, a series of X-rays and MRI showed that my right 2nd to 6th ribs suffered non-displaced multiple fractures, misaligned anterolisthesis of Lumbar 4 over L5 and L5 over S1, severe bilateral neural foraminal narrowing at L4-L5 and L5-S1. The spine specialist suggested operation to realign the spine. Neck brace and lumbar girdle was strapped to my body to prevent movement as it will caused injury to my spinal cord. At this juncture, I learnt to accept my condition, a sense of calmness shrouded me. Naturally I placed my right palm on my naval and left palm over it, closed my eyes and did my breathing. I tuned into my body system, I was aware that there were many networks working together all at once. I felt the flow, I felt my system warming up, at first there seemed to be chaos then, it settled into systematic flow, I could hear the steady rhythm of each in breathe and out breathe and the expansion and contraction of my body. I then fell into deep sleep.
After the neck brace was removed on the second day, I did my Peng Qi Guan Ding, mentally and with minimal hand movements, I could feel my whole spine warming up and I felt less pain.
I practised daily qigong for my own healing. On the fifth day early morning, I managed to wriggle up and got out of bed, I walked quietly to the bath room unaided, took a warm shower and brushed my teeth. I had never felt so blessed. I went back to my ward, sat on the chair and did He Shou Long Tou Qi Chong Tian (鹤首龙头气冲天 – Module 2 Step 1). In the quietness I felt inner peace and the smooth movement of qi flowing head to toes, I could feel the connection of body, mind and spirit as One. I also did La Qi (拉气) chest level, I felt lighter and could breathe better. I prepared a short message to my TCM Physician about my accident and condition. I knew I was fit to be discharged. The moment the doctor told me that I could go home, I sent the message to my teacher/physician, he assured me that he would help me to recover faster. I practised Zhineng Qigong daily to enhance healthy recuperation.
An immediate benefit was a sense of peaceful harmony with the universe. After three weeks of rest and regular TCM holistic therapy I went back to work. I rejected the surgery suggested by the spine specialist.
In June 2012, I attended a week long retreat with Li Hong Shi Laoshi again, this time we practised Xing Shen Zhuang (形神庄 – Module 2). I felt my body becoming supple and flexible again. I just practised without fear of pain or causing injury, with trust and belief that the body has the natural intelligence to heal itself. During the last day, we did a two hour long meditative slow motion Xing Shen Zhuang full sequence followed by San Xing Bing Zhan Zhuang (三心并站桩 – 3 points merge standing meditation) I felt my ribs and whole spine turning, the tingling sensation and creaking sounds of realigning my bones. With tears flowing and mucus dripping uncontrollably I knew my body is healing. I heard the whisper of Li Laoshi “Ni Hao Le Hao Le” (你好了好了 – you have recovered) when he was checking me during the Zhan Zhuang. I had regained my health, my posture was good, I walked with my head held high with no more stooping caused by the chest discomfort.
I am really grateful that the right healer (Physician Wong and his wonderful wife, physician Ang) and Li Hong Shi Laoshi appeared to me in my life time, regaining my health and confidence to pursue on as a Remedial Therapist. I did not quit but persevere on helping others to regain their health and strive on in life with confidence and a positive attitude.
